Biography

Andrea Polichetti (Rome, 1989) lives and works in Rome. His research draws on archaeological imagery through experimentation with contemporary materials, expressing himself through different languages ranging from drawing, printing, cyanotype to sculpture. His work reflects on the implications of the impermanence and transiencè of time, relating to the natural element.

From 2008 to 2016 he trained as an exhibitor and producer at leading galleries and institutions in Rome, participating in the design and installation of national and international exhibitions alongside the most important Italian artists of the generation preceding his own. He actively worked on the creation of independent exhibitions, such as 89/2012, the management of the temporary space Da Franco (inside a barber shop in the centre of Rome in Testaccio) and a publishing project of fanzines. In 2020, he founded Spaziomensa, an artist run space, continuing his activities as a promoter and art organiser.
