Biography
Linus Rauch is an artist based in Berlin. The work of the conceptual painter takes diverse forms, including canvases, which are known for their subtle sensuality, physical presence, and the resonant relationships they create with surrounding space; and interventions that emerge in reaction to—and as a manipulation of—the architectural context in which they exist. Parallel to his artistic formation, Rauch pursued studies in the natural sciences. This interdisciplinary background informs his inquiry into subjectivity, materiality, our entanglement with reality, and the relations of our embodied minds with the physical world.
His work has been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions at galleries, institutions, art fairs and independent spaces. Recent solo exhibitions include On On and On at Tom Reichstein Contemporary, Hamburg, and Man Mano at Galerie Rundgaenger, Frankfurt/Main. Group exhibitions include Salon der Gegenwart, Hamburg, Baitball 02 at Palazzo San Giuseppe, Polignano a Mare, as well as the Annual Exhibition at Kunstverein Reutlingen.
