Born in Como in 1994, In my work I draw on various mythologies, isolating their elements, and making their signs re-emerge in monolithic forms. i use symbols that seem to flow from our
collective memory, and which, re-emerging, are charged with the fascination of repressed memories that come back noisily, unexpectedly. The sterile symbols (because we have forgotten their original meaning) are taken by a violent act of appropriation and relocated in complex trophies, resulting in morphologies that dissipate energy in a dynamic momentum, in search of a new centre of gravity, an order different from the initial one. They investigate the boundaries of what we consider current, whose obsolescence, they remind us, is only a near horizon and, in parallel, they show us the anachronism of forms, their capacity to re-emerge in new contexts, with new intentions. I demand of my works that they be the fruit of a process that concerns the methods of acquiring subjects or the technique that gives life to the material that makes up the works. I try to endow them with an evocative element, which manifests itself in new ways that seek a vitality of images.
