Giuseppe Sciortino was born in Palermo in 1988. After graduating from the Eustachio Catalano Art School, he moved to Florence to attend painting courses taught by Prof. Adriano Bimbi at the Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in 2011.

From that year until 2018, he participated in numerous artist residencies in various locations in Tuscany (Monte Amiata, Camaldoli, Lunigiana), confronting himself with other artists and developing an artistic investigation closely linked to the contexts in which he lived and worked for extended periods.

In recent years, Sciortino has collaborated with several galleries and curators in central and northern Italy, taking part in group exhibitions, competitions and making solo shows (Galleria Patricia Armocida - Milan; B10 Artroom - Milan; Galleria Indigo - Perugia).

For about ten years, the artist has also devoted himself to private teaching of drawing and painting.
