Contemporary Cluster is pleased to announce Contemporary Cluster #03 [TRIPTYCH] feat Matteo Basilé, Angelo Cricchi, Mustafa Sabbagh. The exhibition is hosted by Giacomo Guidi’s gallery on Via Luigi Robecchi Brichetti. TRIPTYCH will open on April 7TH 2017.
Basilé, Cricchi and Sabbagh will present their most representative works together with a shared piece realized during the above-mentioned workshop.
Starting from these two events, the three internationally acclaimed photographers began to compare their individual artistic languages in a coherent dialogue that, however, continues to express the specificity of their unique research.
The exhibition format, according to the experimental core of Contemporary Cluster, is that of a tryptich: three artists with three different gazes and overlooks on fine art contemporary photography will expose a dizzying iconographic universe.
This format’s goal is to reconsider the traditional aesthetic canons through a renewal of the medium.
Aisthesis, the Greek root of the word aesthetics, means perception: aesthetics and perception are two distinctive features that sum up the artist’s interest in a form of communication mediated by image, imagery and human identity.
Basilé, Cricchi and Sabbagh share a subtle passion for dicothomy: beauty and grotesque, eros and thanatos, minimal and baroque. There is no kindness in their artworks and photography seems to be a suspended horizon in time and space.
